Six courts across Gujarat were evacuated on Tuesday after bomb threat emails were sent to official court addresses, triggering emergency security checks. The warnings targeted district courts in Vadodara, Valsad, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Police teams rushed to the affected premises and evacuated staff and visitors as a precaution. Bomb detection and disposal squads carried out thorough searches inside court complexes, while access to surrounding areas was temporarily restricted during the checks.
The incident comes just a day after more than two dozen schools in Ahmedabad received similar threat emails, leading to campus evacuations. Authorities had also handled comparable warnings last month ahead of Republic Day celebrations.
Officials said security agencies are examining the emails and tracing their origin. Investigations are underway to determine whether the threats are connected to the recent series of hoax warnings across the state.
